Battery BMS

A Battery Management Systems(BMS) is a very important part of an electric bike lithium battery. It's an electronic regulator that monitors and controls the charging and discharging of rechargeable batteries. 

In order to improve battery usage, the BMS usually has the following functions

Short circuit current protection;

Charging over-voltage protection;

Charging over-current protection;

Discharging over-current protection.

  • In addition to the conventional BMS, we also have the Bluetooth BMS. If you need it, just install the application on your phone and than you can read the battery usage data (battery power, voltage,temperature) through the Bluetooth BMS.
Application

This BMS is 10S25A, it is for 36v lithium battery, the max continuous discharge current is 25A,it could be for 500W electric bike. The function of BMS is protecting the battery, the main functions is over-current protection, over-charge protection, over-discharge protections,short circuit protection. Every battery should have BMS.

This is Atlas battery, the battery is 48v 17.5Ah, the BMS that it used is 13S25A, the max continuous discharge current is 25A, the transient excess current can reach to 60±10A. It can be for 750W electric bicycle. 13S BMS is for 48v battery, and 10S BMS is used on 36v battery. The location on the battery could be changed according to the shape of the battery case.

This kind of battery is for electric motorcycle, the lithium battery is 60V 30A, 16S6P, using 21700 battery cells. The BMS is 16S 60A, it could be for 2000W electric motorcycle. The max continuous discharge current of this BMS is 60A, and the transient excess current can reach to 350±50A. The size of this BMS is bigger than those for ebikes, because the motor power is big, the current should be high. If the current is higher, the dimensions of the BMS will become bigger.
